This role involves leading the IT Project Management team, tools, and processes, providing strategic and tactical leadership for efficient project portfolio management, and ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide objectives. This leader will ensure IT portfolio governance, manage demand and capacity, and oversee project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT, business leadership, and EPMO to support project intake, vetting, and prioritization.
- Partner with EPMO to align IT portfolio governance, lifecycle standards, and reporting with enterprise practices.
- Provide consistent and effective portfolio dashboards, reviews, scorecards, and reports.
- Serve as the point of escalation for project stakeholders or requestors.
- Ensure portfolio benefits are defined, managed, and monitored throughout the lifecycle.
- Coordinate project interdependencies across IT portfolios and enterprise initiatives.
- Identify areas for process improvement and provide recommendations.
- Ensure PMO standard operating procedures, systems, and processes are documented and aligned with EPMO standards.
- Drive resource management processes to enable a capacity-driven demand model.
- Oversee and be accountable for the IT project budget and forecasts.
- Drive process discipline and excellence in the ServiceNow PPM platform.
- Promote IT framework, governance, and processes, including Agile ways of working.
Requirements
- Strong experience leading project managers of large-scale complex projects
- Detailed knowledge of the project management lifecycle
- Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures and processes
- Strong process management background
- Ability to incorporate project management best practices
- Strong communication skills across all levels of leadership and employees
- Demonstrated ability to partner on cross-functional teams
- Ability to deal with the ambiguity of innovation and guide projects to successful conclusion
- Strong influencing skills both internally and externally
- Ability to identify resources and align/coordinate/prioritize resource workloads
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to utilize/design/implement complex process improvements
- Self-directed with an ability to organize, plan, prioritize
- Demonstrated leadership skills, driving empowerment and accountability across project teams
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading and delivering software projects
- Demonstrated experience engaging with senior level staff
- Experience with Agile project management lifecycles
- Possesses and utilizes leadership skills and abilities to direct and supervise employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong PC skills, to include MS Suite, O365, and inter-communication platforms
- Valid US driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree, preferably in IT
- 8+ years of related project management experience, 5+ years related IT experience, 5+ Supervisor/Manager experience

- Working knowledge of ServiceNow PPM
