Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer

About This Role

As a Lead Engineer in Data Lifecycle Management, you will design, build, and operate data platform capabilities to govern how data is created, classified, used, retained, archived, and deleted. Your expertise will be crucial in translating governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements into scalable engineering patterns and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data platform capabilities that govern data lifecycle management within scope
• Lead delivery of lifecycle controls such as metadata capture and lineage, data classification, policy enforcement, retention/legal hold workflows, and audit-ready evidence
• Turn governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements into scalable engineering patterns and automation
• Partner with data governance, security, privacy, legal, and platform teams to deliver reliable, outcome-driven lifecycle solutions
• Develop engineering solutions that solve complex problems with valuable outcomes, ensuring high-quality, lean designs and implementations
• Serve as the technical advocate for products, ensuring code integrity, feasibility, and alignment with business and customer goals
• Lead requirement analysis, contributing to low-level architecture and component design, development, unit testing, integrations, and support
• Maintain accountability for the integrity of code design, implementation, quality, data, and ongoing maintenance and operations
• Create technical specifications, write high-quality, supportable, scalable code, and review code of other engineers, mentoring them
• Engage with customers and product teams to ensure the right solution is delivered at the right time

Requirements

• Excellent software engineering foundation with deep understanding of OOP/OOD, sequence/activity/state/ER/DFD diagrams, data-structure, algorithms, code instrumentations
• 8+ years proven experience with Python, SQL/NoSQL
• 8+ years of experience with cloud-native engineering and understanding of Azure Data Pipelines/the Azure Portal Environment
• 8+ years delivering governed data platforms
• 2+ years of experience with AI/ML and GenAI
• Strong understanding of methodologies & tools like XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube
• Deep experience with at least one modern data platform and its governance controls (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse)
• Experience with implementing data governance and lifecycle management controls across Microsoft 365 (M365) applications including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, CoPilot
• Experience with governance tools like Microsoft Purview
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline
• 8+ years proven experience with Python, SQL/NoSQL, cloud-native engineering, Azure Data Pipelines/Azure Portal Environment; 8+ years delivering governed data platforms; 2+ years of experience with AI/ML and GenAI.
