Lead major initiatives within a core web platform rewrite for a consumer-facing technology company in the travel and hospitality space. Own critical user journeys and define frontend architecture and standards to deliver fast, reliable, and intuitive customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Own high-impact frontend initiatives end-to-end across core user journeys
- Lead technical design and implementation for large frontend changes
- Define and implement reusable patterns in a modern Next.js codebase
- Improve performance, SEO, Core Web Vitals, and conversion metrics
- Raise code quality through reviews, standards, and mentorship
- Improve developer velocity through better tooling, testing, and observability
- Partner with backend engineers on API design and performance optimization
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building production web applications
- Deep expertise in React and modern frontend architecture (SSR/SPA hybrids)
- Experience leading rewrites or major migrations of high-traffic web products
- Ability to mentor engineers and elevate frontend practices across a team
