About This Role

This role will define and drive Thermo Fisher Scientific’s worldwide Bio/Pharma market strategy within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division. The Sr Director will establish vision, uncover emerging opportunities, and develop go-to-market strategies aligned with customer needs throughout the drug development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Own the evolution and execution of the CMD division’s multi-year strategy for Bio/Pharma Beyond Discovery.
  • Drive the integration of service and support, software, analytical instruments and consumables into end-to-end workflows.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships and alliances with key customers, regulatory bodies, and industry participants.
  • Drive market segmentation, opportunity assessment, and prioritization to ensure alignment with CMD growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with product management teams to ensure solutions address critical customer needs, regulatory trends, and new technologies.
  • Guide the creation of compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies for new product introductions.
  • Partner with regional commercial teams to translate the global strategy into localized execution plans.
  • Partner with Commercial, Services and the product businesses to provide a comprehensive post-sales support package.
  • Lead and develop strong teams in business development and marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Multiple years experience within the Bio/Pharma industry
  • Strong record of leadership in market development, strategic marketing or business development
  • Validated experience driving business growth through coordinated workflows, product commercialization, and customer-centric innovation
  • Deep understanding of biopharmaceutical development workflows and analytical technologies
  • Strong leadership skills to engage, empower, influence and motivate colleagues at all levels
  • Experience leading global teams and operating in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of employee groups
  • Strong intuition for business with validated ability to translate scientific and technical insights into commercial success
  • Advanced level of English language (written and spoken)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA or similar background preferred.
  • Multiple years experience within the Bio/Pharma industry, with a strong record of leadership in market development, strategic marketing or business development.
