Sr Civil Design Engineer

About This Role

Join the Advanced Manufacturing group as a Senior Civil Engineer, working on state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities. This role involves leading civil design for land/site development, preparing grading plans, and performing complex earthwork and drainage calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks
• Conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development
• Prepare grading plans
• Perform earthwork calculations
• Perform drainage and stormwater calculations
• Conduct site development, site master planning and site selection
• Route underground utility and plan site space
• Perform hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems
• Analyze and design gravitational wastewater systems
• Perform final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing
• Provide erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans and support permit approval
• Research and adhere to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction
• Perform stormwater analysis and modeling in software applications, such as StormCAD, CivilStorm

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience including extensive related project experience
• Strong working knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large scale industrial developments
• Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8 or more years of engineering experience, including extensive related project experience

• PE certification
• Bluebeam experience
• Experience using Navisworks
