Sr Civil Design Engineer (Data Centers)

About This Role

This Senior Civil Engineer position involves designing and building state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities as part of Jacobs' Advanced Manufacturing group. The role focuses on civil design for land/site development and stormwater management for critical manufacturing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development
• Prepare grading plans
• Perform earthwork calculations
• Perform drainage and stormwater calculations
• Conduct site development, site master planning and site selection
• Develop underground utility routing and site space planning
• Perform hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems
• Analyze and design gravitational wastewater systems
• Perform final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing
• Provide erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans
• Support permit approval through research and adherence to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of engineering experience with extensive project experience
• Strong working knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large scale industrial developments
• Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8 or more years of engineering experience, including extensive related project experience
