Sr Civil Design Engineer (Data Centers)

About This Role

This Senior Civil Engineer role involves working on state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities within the Advanced Manufacturing group. The position focuses on land/site development, grading, earthwork, and drainage/stormwater calculations, ensuring technical quality and adherence to project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development
• Prepare grading plans and perform earthwork calculations
• Perform drainage and stormwater calculations including hydrology analysis for storm drain systems
• Analyze and design gravitational wastewater systems
• Perform final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing
• Provide erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans
• Support permit approval processes
• Research and adhere to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction
• Perform stormwater analysis and modeling in software applications like StormCAD and CivilStorm
• Lead technical discussions and code reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of engineering experience with extensive project experience
• Strong working knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large scale industrial developments
• Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
• Driven to broaden knowledge base and learn quickly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8 or more years of engineering experience, including extensive related project experience
