Join Jacobs as a Senior Civil Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing group, contributing to state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities. This role involves conceptualizing civil design, preparing grading plans, and performing earthwork and stormwater calculations.
Responsibilities
- Perform site development, site master planning and site selection
- Conduct underground utility routing and site space planning
- Execute hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems
- Analyze and design gravitational wastewater systems
- Perform final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing
- Provide erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans
- Support permit approval process
- Research and adhere to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction
- Perform stormwater analysis and modeling in software applications like StormCAD and CivilStorm
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience with extensive project experience
- Strong working knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large scale industrial developments
- Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 8 or more years of engineering experience, including extensive related project experience
Nice to Have
- PE certification
- Bluebeam experience
- Navisworks experience
