Sr. Account Manager, Hospital Sales

About This Role

Lead strategic sales efforts for Red Cross blood products and services within a high-value hospital territory in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. This role focuses on managing clinical and executive-level relationships, negotiating contracts, and expanding the Red Cross footprint.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of hospital accounts generating approximately $30M in revenue
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical leaders and C-suite executives
• Educate clients on Red Cross products, services, and value propositions
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within and beyond the current customer base
• Lead contract negotiations and renewals to ensure long-term partnerships
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
• Provide guidance and support to volunteers as needed in support of hospital engagement
• Travel to assigned hospitals and prospects at least 3 days per week

Requirements

• 7+ years experience in healthcare sales, clinical services, or related field
• Experience selling to hospitals, pharma, or medical device companies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to engage clinical and executive audiences
• Ability to absorb and communicate technical information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; a background in science or healthcare is preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare sales, clinical services, or a related field
