Speech Language Pathologist

About This Role

Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to K-12 students with severe cognitive impairments in Ypsilanti, MI. This role focuses on utilizing AAC and assistive technology in a school setting and collaborating with educational staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to K-12 students with severe cognitive impairments
• Utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and assistive technology (AT) devices to support communication goals
• Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement effective therapy plans
• Maintain progress documentation and comply with state caseload guidelines, with a maximum caseload of 60 students
• Ensure compliance with all applicable educational and clinical standards and regulations

Requirements

• Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in the state of Michigan
• Experience working within school settings, particularly with severe cognitive impairment populations
• Proficiency in AAC and assistive technology device implementation
• Ability to provide onsite therapy and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
