About This Role

Provide specialized speech-language pathology teletherapy services to K-12 Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students within a regional day school program. This contract position requires ASL fluency and an active Texas SLP license or DHHT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver teletherapy sessions tailored to the communication needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized speech-language plans.
  • Utilize ASL fluency to effectively communicate and engage with students.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting therapy methods as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and program guidelines.

Requirements

  • Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Therapy (DHHT)
  • Strong skills in telespeech and teletherapy service delivery
  • Ability to manage a caseload within a regional day school program setting

Qualifications

  • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations preferred
