Speech Language Pathologist

About This Role

This Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role involves providing quality speech therapy services, evaluating and developing treatment plans for residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate
• Evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation
• Develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals
• Instruct patients, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures for carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals
• Complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems
• Oversee and implement proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs
• Participate in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competency
• Active SLP license in state(s) of practice
