The Speech Language Pathologist plans and provides individualized treatment programs for patients across various settings, collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team, and contributes to the development of speech therapy services at Arnot Health.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans based on physician prescriptions
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and required reports
- Communicate regularly with physicians regarding patient progress
- Work with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate and guide patients, families, and caregivers
- Maintain equipment and assist with developing new speech therapy services
- Provide mentorship and direction to support staff involved in patient care
- Participate in in-service education, committees, and professional development
- Provide age-appropriate care to all patient populations
- Attend mandatory annual training and comply with all departmental policies
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
- Eligible for NYS license
- Eligible for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program

- 1-2 years of hospital experience
