About This Role

This Specialty Artist role at MAC, within Ulta Beauty, focuses on maximizing sales of cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance by providing exceptional guest service and professional makeup artistry. The artist will engage guests to understand their needs, assist with product selection, and maintain store standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed MAC brand sales and service goals, contributing to overall store goals.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by engaging with existing guests and following up on inquiries.
• Deliver exceptional service by greeting guests, personalizing service, offering samples, and recommending products/services.
• Conduct personalized professional makeup demonstrations, applications, and lessons; skincare analyses; and product demonstrations.
• Study and practice Skill Certification requirements within specified time frames.
• Inform guests about promotions and marketing initiatives for the MAC brand and across Ulta Beauty.
• Book appointments for and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience and meet sales goals.
• Stay informed about new and existing industry trends, products, and services.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.

Requirements

• Professional caliber makeup artistry skills
• Exceptional guest service
• Ability to learn and communicate product knowledge
• Significant competency in sales, products, and service
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to positively and proactively handle guest concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Cosmetics artistry experience preferred
