About This Role

The Sous Chef will assist the Director with all facets of the culinary operation at a private upscale community, overseeing staff, managing schedules, and handling inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee supervision of staff
  • Manage scheduling for kitchen operations
  • Handle inventories for the culinary department
  • Assist the Director with all facets of the culinary operation
  • Maintain a strong presence in the kitchen
  • Set high standards for self and staff

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong presence in the kitchen
  • Ability to make sound independent decisions
  • Highly organized
  • Willingness to adjust to varying schedules and be hands on
  • Strong knowledge of service, food, and wine
  • Prior management experience
