Sonographer Breast and General Ultrasound Technologist

About This Role

Perform prescribed breast and general ultrasound procedures with independent judgment, ensuring optimal patient care and producing high-quality images. Educate patients, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders
• Educate patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed
• Produce high quality images and prepare/present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation
• Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements
• Troubleshoot equipment and notify appropriate personnel to maintain performance
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors
• Assure the efficient operation of workflow of the department
• Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and material

Requirements

• National certification (ARDMS or CCI)
• BLS certification
• 1-2 years of clinical experience
• Effective communication skills
• Human relations skills
• Ability to analyze data and solve problems

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical knowledge/experience
