This role will support members in achieving financial security by guiding them through various health insurance options, including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement plans, and final expense policies. The specialist will engage with members through various channels to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and facilitate the acquisition and retention of health and related products.
Responsibilities
- Receive inquiries and requests for advice or service from current members through various channels
- Discover key information and life events to understand member needs and problems
- Document relevant member information
- Assess member's needs, financial situation, and goals, recognizing life events
- Make recommendations and motivate members to take action using advanced sales techniques
- Educate members on how regulatory changes will impact products
- Articulate benefits and motivate members to acquire and retain health products through inbound and outbound communications
- Provide limited member servicing support
- Ensure adherence to company and regulatory practices
- Support enterprise business goals through achieving individual referral and product acquisition goals
- Acquire and apply advanced knowledge of complex health insurance and Medicare solutions, dental and vision insurance, and long term care solutions
- Work with brokered products and act as an agent for the member
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- Maintenance of Life and Health license
- Annual completion of AHIP and Broker/Carrier appointments
- 2+ years customer service/sales experience
- Experience delivering frequent written and oral communication
- Experience acquiring and applying new concepts and information
- Experience processing and analyzing information
- Experience fulfilling requests and meeting deadlines
- Experience resolving conflict and negotiating
- Experience multi-tasking in an operating systems environment
- Experience participating in or leading teams
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- 2 or more years customer service/sales experience
Nice to Have
- Current Life and Health License
- 3+ years experience with Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement Plans
- 3+ years experience working during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)
- 3+ years experience with Final Expense Policies
- Life Insurance Sales experience
- Call Center experience
