About This Role

The Chief People Officer will develop and direct a comprehensive people strategy for VOAMASS, a growing organization providing integrated behavioral health care. This role involves leading all HR functions, including policy development, performance management, recruitment, retention, employee relations, and compensation and benefits strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with agency goals for recruitment, retention, and people development.
  • Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, including partnering with local schools and colleges to develop recruitment channels.
  • Revamp and direct new employee orientation and onboarding to enhance retention, and develop additional employee retention strategies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth by instituting competency mapping and creating formal development programs.
  • Partner with the executive team to cultivate an employee-centric culture of positivity and inclusion, designing strategies to make VOAMASS an employer of choice.
  • Evaluate and recommend compensation structures in coordination with the executive team, CFO, and COO, benchmarking key positions.
  • Ensure VOAMASS provides a best-in-class direct and indirect rewards program, reviewing benefit plans annually and assessing their cost and effectiveness.
  • Review and provide data-driven evaluation of key HR metrics, creating and maintaining an HR dashboard with KPIs on interviewing, hiring, and retention.
  • Review, update, and develop policies and procedures that support the VOAMASS culture of excellence and enhance personnel effectiveness.
  • Address and investigate complaints and employee issues, providing recommendations and overseeing all legal issues related to employees.

Requirements

  • Strong professional foundation in human resources
  • Deep knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, and organizational risk
  • Strong leadership ability and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical capability

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in human resources or a related field
  • 10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
