Social Media Manager

About This Role

This remote contract role involves managing social media marketing, content creation, and strategy to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement, ensuring alignment with business objectives for various clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute daily operations related to social media marketing
• Create and optimize content across major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube)
• Develop content strategies and manage social media channels
• Engage with audiences by responding to comments and DMs
• Track key metrics, gather insights, and prepare simple performance reports
• Maintain and optimize client accounts including bios, links, hashtags, and general profile consistency
• Coordinate content calendars and assets with designers and editors
• Support promotional launch periods and campaign scheduling
• Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks) with captions, hooks, transitions, b-roll, and trending audio
• Repurpose long-form content into short-form assets
• Ensure all creative aligns with brand guidelines and platform best practices

Requirements

• Strong skills in Social Media Marketing, including planning and executing campaigns
• Experience in Content Strategy and Social Media Optimization (SMO)
• Excellent Communication and Writing skills
• Proficiency with analytics tools
• Proven ability to work independently and within a remote, collaborative team environment
• Comfortable editing content independently and delivering polished, on-brand assets

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with emerging social media trends and best practices
• Prior experience in project management or working in a business operations support environment
