The College of Innovation & Technology is looking for social media content creators to highlight student and campus life for multiple social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter (X), TikTok, and other emerging platforms. This role involves sourcing and creating organic social media content, collaborating with a social media manager, and attending events, with a minimum of one post per week.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and creation of organic social media content, including photo, video, and text for posts - minimum of one post per week
- Work with social media manager to schedule postings
- Video editing of raw footage for social media
- Photo editing for social media
- Networking with CIT faculty, staff, other students, and student clubs and organizations to collect information for content creation
- Social media takeovers
- Attending meetings biweekly to discuss social media strategy
Requirements
- Current UM-Flint student in a College of Innovation & Technology program, graduate or undergraduate
- Current social media presence and an awareness of social media trends
- Willingness to attend CIT functions, events, etc.
Nice to Have
- Collaborative and willing to take direction and be open to feedback
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to follow marketing and branding requirements
- Video and photo editing skills
- Experience with Canva and Capcut
- Comfortable in front of a camera
