Shift Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise Security Officers and other personnel at client sites, ensuring adherence to post orders, effective training, and timely reporting. This role involves coaching, disciplining, and planning work to meet all security requirements and provide quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Function as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s)
• Act to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that required reports are filed
• Notify proper authorities and client in emergency situations
• Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate, seeking advice from company management when needed
• Meet personally with employees and document coaching and disciplinary actions
• Train Security Officers and other company personnel, reviewing post orders and assignment details
• Assist in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated
• Ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions in conjunction with company management
• Prepare, file, and submit various reports as required
• Inspect posts as scheduled and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities
• Meet with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to ensure all security requirements are met and provide quality customer service
• Carry out supervisory duties including interviewing, orienting, training, planning, assigning and directing work, coaching and appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and making hiring and termination recommendations
• May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months
• Standard computer / technology skills
• Ability to interact with a wide range of customers in a calm and professional manner
• Great attention to detail and ability to remain alert throughout the shift
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation
• Willingness to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
• Safe Driving
• CPR / AED certification
• 2 years of Security experience or previous military / law enforcement / corrections experience OR minimum of 1 year experience as an officer for Securitas

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months
• 2 years of Security experience or previous military / law enforcement / corrections experience, or a minimum of 1 year experience as an officer for Securitas. Management or supervisory experience preferred.
