Lead and mentor a team within a cannabis dispensary, ensuring exceptional customer service, compliant inventory management, and smooth daily operations. This role focuses on service, dedication, pace, and energy to inspire the team and maintain high standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow and uphold established policies for sales and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains, and train the team on product knowledge
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring product assortment, and communicate inventory needs to the Store Manager
- Assist Patient Care Specialists in consulting patients on cannabis product choices and consumption methods
- Receive new deliveries and ensure all manifests are accurate and compliant in MJ Freeway
- Complete and delegate tasks including cash handling, discount application, paperwork verification, security, and cleaning
- Report team member issues or patient situations to management
- Complete end of day daily update emails and opening/closing duties
- Work with the management team to ensure retail store operations comply with rules and regulations
- Lead onboarding and training of new Patient Care Specialists
- Complete all MOD cash and inventory functions for closing procedures
- Follow all safety and security procedures for opening and closing
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Minimum of 2 years combined dispensary, call center, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience
- Excellent computer and technical skills, including experience with web browsers, retail POS systems, and credit card processing terminals
- High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
- Comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions and decimals, and high-volume cash handling
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Minimum of 2 years combined dispensary, call center, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience
Nice to Have
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Experience or study emphasis in biology, medicine, horticulture, agriculture, business, management, or hospitality
