ServiceNow Developer Senior Consultant

About This Role

The ServiceNow Senior Consultant - Developer will lead the technical design, solution architecture, and hands-on development of ServiceNow solutions to enhance visibility and automation for clients' cyber and risk programs. This role involves daily coding, architecting integrations, and designing scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform, serving as the primary technical resource and owning solution architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and hands-on development of ServiceNow solutions including custom applications, integrations, workflows, business rules, scripted REST APIs, and UI components.
• Architect and build complex integrations between ServiceNow and third-party security and risk tools using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server configurations, and orchestration.
• Write and optimize server-side and client-side scripts including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, and Flow Designer actions.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using ATF to ensure solution quality across development, test, and production environments.
• Perform code reviews and enforce development best practices across the engagement team, including adherence to ServiceNow coding standards and update set management.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and detailed design documents.
• Configure and customize ServiceNow platform solutions including forms, calculations, reporting, dashboards, and access controls.
• Build and customize portal solutions using Service Portal and Next Experience UI Framework (UI Builder), including Employee Center and customer-facing experiences.
• Lead deployment of automated ServiceNow solutions at large and complex organizations across a variety of industries.
• Mentor junior developers on ServiceNow development patterns, debugging techniques, and platform best practices.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• 4+ years of experience as a hands-on ServiceNow developer writing and deploying code on implementation projects in a client-facing role
• 4+ years of hands-on experience writing and debugging ServiceNow server-side and client-side scripts (JavaScript), including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and Flow Designer
• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and MID Server configurations
• 4+ years of experience with ServiceNow development lifecycle practices including update set management, scoped applications, and instance management across development, test, and production environments
• 4+ years of work experience developing solutions on one or more of the following ServiceNow modules: IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Security Operations (SecOps), Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM)
• 4+ years of experience as a hands-on developer throughout the engagement lifecycle
• 4+ years of experience contributing to solution architecture decisions, technical design documentation, and integration pattern selection on ServiceNow engagements
• Previous Consulting or Big 4 experience

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• 4+ years of experience as a hands-on ServiceNow developer writing and deploying code on implementation projects in a client-facing role, with extensive experience in server-side and client-side scripting (JavaScript), ServiceNow integrations, and the ServiceNow development lifecycle.

• One or more ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications (CIS-Risk and Compliance, CIS-Security Incident Response, CIS-Vulnerability Response, CIS-Third-Party Risk Management, CIS-Hardware Asset Management, CIS-Software Asset Management, CIS-Service Mapping, CIS-Discovery, CIS-Event Management)
• Experience building integrations with enterprise security tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Microsoft Sentinel, or threat intelligence feeds (STIX/TAXII)
• Experience with CMDB architecture and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) design and implementation
• Experience with Service Portal development, Employee Center customization, or Next Experience UI Framework (UI Builder, Now Experience components)
• Experience with IntegrationHub and pre-built Spokes for enterprise integration patterns
• Exposure to ServiceNow Now Assist or GenAI capabilities on the platform
• Experience with ServiceNow Business Continuity Management (BCM) and/or Privacy Management modules
• Experience with RSA Archer or other GRC platforms, particularly in migration or integration scenarios with ServiceNow
• Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Predictive Intelligence, or Virtual Agent
• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or active progress toward CTA certification
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
