As a ServiceNow Consultant - Developer, you will contribute to the technical design and hands-on development of ServiceNow solutions, helping organizations achieve better visibility and automation across their cyber and risk programs. You will write code daily and work alongside senior technical resources to build and configure platform solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure ServiceNow solutions including custom applications, workflows, business rules, scripted REST APIs, and UI components
- Build integrations between ServiceNow and third-party security and risk tools using REST/SOAP APIs, Import Sets, IntegrationHub, and MID Server configurations
- Write server-side and client-side scripts including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and Flow Designer actions
- Support automated testing efforts using ATF and participate in code reviews to maintain solution quality
- Manage update sets and support deployment processes across development, test, and production environments
- Translate functional requirements into technical configurations and support the creation of technical design documents
- Configure and customize ServiceNow platform solutions including forms, calculations, reporting, dashboards, and access controls
- Support portal development and customization using Service Portal and Next Experience UI Framework (UI Builder)
- Support deployment of automated ServiceNow solutions at large and complex organizations across a variety of industries
- Work collaboratively with functional consultants and client stakeholders, supporting senior team members in interactions with executive risk leadership
- Build solid, trust-based relationships with client stakeholders
- Communicate with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner on technical topics
- Facilitate technical demonstrations, user acceptance testing, and knowledge transfer sessions
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a hands-on ServiceNow developer
- 2+ years of hands-on experience writing and debugging ServiceNow server-side and client-side scripts (JavaScript)
- 2+ years of experience building ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Import Sets, and Transform Maps
- 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow development lifecycle practices including update set management and instance management
- 2+ years of work experience developing solutions on one or more ServiceNow modules (ITOM, ITAM, IRM, SecOps, TPRM)
- Previous Consulting or Big 4 experience
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience as a hands-on ServiceNow developer writing and deploying code on implementation projects in a client-facing role
Nice to Have
- Experience building integrations with enterprise security tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Microsoft Sentinel, or threat intelligence feeds (STIX/TAXII)
- Experience with CMDB architecture and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) design and implementation
- Experience with Service Portal development or Next Experience UI Framework (UI Builder, Now Experience components)
- Experience with IntegrationHub and pre-built Spokes for enterprise integration patterns
- Exposure to ServiceNow Now Assist or GenAI capabilities on the platform
- Experience with ServiceNow Business Continuity Management (BCM) and/or Privacy Management modules
- Experience with RSA Archer or other GRC platforms
- Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics or Virtual Agent
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
