Service Shop Technician

About This Role

Provide maintenance and assembly services for customer and store equipment, primarily focusing on sporting goods like bicycles, exercise machines, and snowboards. This role ensures a clean and professional service environment while assisting with customer equipment delivery and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently provide maintenance and assembly of customer and store equipment including bicycles, exercise machines, snowboards, skis, hockey skates/sticks, baseball gloves/bats, golf clubs, racquet sports, and paintball markers
• Safely fill CO2 and compressed air tanks for paintball markers
• Maintain accurate and detailed records for store and customer equipment
• Ensure a clean and professional service environment
• Assist with delivering and loading customer equipment and merchandise at the store and to customer residences
• Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain its benefits

Requirements

• Age 18 years or older
• Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear
• Ability to lift in excess of 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds constantly
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays, and scheduled training meetings
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Ability to write reports and speak effectively before groups of customers and associates
• Ability to complete basic mathematical equations
