About This Role

This role involves leading and transforming community water infrastructure projects within the Water Group, focusing on innovative water, wastewater, and reuse systems to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis and design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, including advanced treatment/nutrient removal processes using BioWin software.
  • Prepare and review working drawings, details, layouts, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other work products.
  • Provide construction support and oversight, including administration, limited inspection, and start-up/operations support for treatment plants.
  • Perform independent design tasks, review designs by others for conformance to standards, and support municipal water utility operations and maintenance teams.
  • Prepare bid documents including drawings and specifications, and organize all project deliverables.
  • Direct and manage a team of design engineers and/or technicians on water and wastewater projects.
  • Apply Merrick procedures as required and make sound engineering decisions.
  • Interface effectively with clients, local, state, and federal government agencies.
  • Lead project progress meetings, make project presentations, and provide clear written communications.
  • Potentially provide project management for projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in the design and construction oversight of water and/or wastewater infrastructure facilities and projects
  • Experience working on Wastewater projects
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and insurable under Merrick’s insurance carrier
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School.
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in the design and construction oversight of water and/or wastewater infrastructure facilities and projects.

  • Master’s degree with a focus on treatment processes

  • Experience with advanced treatment/nutrient removal
