Senior Tax Analyst

About This Role

This role will support a publicly traded company's tax function by overseeing federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns, assisting with income tax provision calculations (ASC 740), and contributing to tax research and planning initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns
• Participate in the review of international tax filings
• Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations (ASC 740)
• Conduct tax research and support planning initiatives to optimize the company’s tax position
• Coordinate responses to federal and state tax audits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tax-related matters
• Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and technology enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in corporate income tax (compliance and provision exposure)
• Familiarity with ASC 740 and US GAAP tax reporting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
• Self-starter with a collaborative, inquisitive mindset

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in corporate income tax, with both compliance and provision exposure

Nice to Have

• CPA or progress toward certification
• Experience with fixed assets, intangible assets, and M&A tax considerations
• Experience with major ERP and tax software systems
