As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will lead design teams, manage projects, and mentor junior engineers while making a positive impact on the world around you.
Responsibilities
- Lead a design team on projects to successfully deliver structural engineering construction documents
- Delegate and manage tasks assigned to other team members
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
- Assist with the preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documents
- Resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines
- Coordinate with project architects, other consulting engineers, and contractors
- Develop staff engineers on technical design and impact of other disciplines
- Provide feedback to help others grow
Requirements
- BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
- Experience working with Revit and BIM 360 on Architecturally driven projects
- Ability to delegate and manage tasks
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple project deadlines
- Excellent attention to detailing complex building components
- Strong understanding of various building components and systems of various materials
- Experience with client communication and retention
Qualifications
- BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
Nice to Have
- PE license in other states
