This Senior Software Engineer role provides expertise and support for application domains, primarily the emBTrust System, ensuring multiple enterprise groups benefit from its capabilities. The role involves maintaining up-to-date application environments, adhering to high-quality standards, and potentially mentoring teams on best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and support for application domains, primarily the emBTrust System
- Ensure multiple groups and programs across the enterprise benefit from the application's capabilities
- Keep the application environment up to date consistent with vendor or open-source standards
- Follow well-defined processes to maintain high quality standards
- Oversee design, development and program implementation for business functionality
- Provide technical support in conjunction with L1/L2 and vendors
- Maintain customer awareness of emerging needs and generate ideas for products/features
Requirements
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Aptitude and ability to train and mentor teams on best practices for specific mortgage systems and applications
- Hands on Experience in mortgage related systems and applications
- Sound knowledge of scripting, testing and simulation tools, system administration tasks (MS SQL, Windows Server, IIS, Disaster Recovery)
- Technical proficiency in architecture, data integration, and systems integration
- Operational Knowledge of monitoring and troubleshooting environments associated with mortgage related systems and applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5-10 years of IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments, including at least 3 years of leadership experience and 5 years developing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios.
