Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences

About This Role

Join the Core Experiences Team to build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify's product experience across platforms, directly enhancing user experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects and reduce scope for faster customer feedback
• Navigate integration/UX tradeoffs relevant to different product teams
• Deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK
• Optimize existing functionality to ship faster loading and more intelligent parsing
• Design more efficient abstractions and improve algorithms
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin

Requirements

• Systems thinking
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently
• Focus and ability to engage or work heads-down in a high-growth startup
• Collaboration skills to inspire and negotiate with designers, marketers, and PMs
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is acceptable)

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with GCP
