Senior Software Engineer (Automation)

About This Role

The Senior Software Engineer (Automation) will play a pivotal role in advancing Wells Fargo's Payment Operations technology landscape, specifically in Wires Operations and Payment Investigations. This position focuses on shaping mission-critical systems that support global payments infrastructure and driving innovation in testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Document test cases and risk research and create test plans
• Record test progress and results
• Perform manual and automated testing
• Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
• Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes
• Partner with Engineers to develop testing strategy
• Log, track and verify resolution of software and specification defects
• Understand and ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced staff

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience
• 2+ years working in an Agile Scrum team

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. 2+ years working in an Agile Scrum team.

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium or similar frameworks
• 2+ years hands-on usage of CI/CD tooling (Jenkins and uDeploy for example)
• 2+ years of experience with Java
• 2+ years of experience with Pega Smart Investigate
