About This Role

The Sales Manager is responsible for the profitable achievement of sales objectives within an assigned market and segment, managing a sales team and coordinating their efforts to maximize impact on company results. This role involves developing and implementing strategic sales plans, managing budgets, and driving sales productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, sales plans, and forecasts to achieve Divisional goals
  • Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to present standards and industry trends
  • Meet with key clients, assisting representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating deals
  • Prioritize coaching and performance management efforts to have the greatest overall impact on business results
  • Coordinate the involvement of support personnel to meet team performance objectives and customer expectations
  • Proactively inspect sales activity and effort among managed sales associates
  • Identify and improve skill deficiencies among sales associates through coaching, development, and training
  • Lead forecasting efforts, ensuring accurate and timely completion of forecasts
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging key accounts
  • Recruit, hire, and develop associates, utilizing company human resources guidelines and support resources

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ total commercial experience
  • Technical knowledge of products and application uses
  • Nickel wire sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to develop face to face sales techniques

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ total commercial experience preferred, with a preference for a metals background and experience in Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Power Generation, or LNG market segments. Preference for experience in nickel wire sales.
