Quality Inspector - Level 2

About This Role

Perform a wide range of inspection activities on machined parts, assemblies, raw materials, and processing, leveraging advanced blueprint interpretation and manual tool knowledge. Document inspections and non-conformances.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fastener installation, sealant, raw material, machine parts, bushings, bearings, and standards
• Inspect simple assemblies and outside processing (NDT, finishes, finish coatings, thermal processing, etc.)
• Document FAI reports
• Document non-conformances

Requirements

• Ability to be certified with Hardness and Eddy Current, Sealant, Bushing and bearing installation
• Proficient in basic computer skills
• Experienced in reading and correctly interpreting complex blueprints and engineering requirements
• Experience in applying shop math skills such as trigonometry, ability to calculate dimensions, set sine plate
• Basic understanding of BQMS (Business Quality Management System) processes and procedures
• Basic understanding of machine shop and aerospace assembly terminology and nomenclature
• Fully experienced with all basic and advanced manual inspection tools
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and write simple correspondence
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to read and understand technical and engineering material and communicate effectively with coworkers
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education
