Senior Revenue Accountant

About This Role

This role will oversee revenue accounting operations, assisting the Accounting team by owning key components of the monthly and quarterly close, reconciling platform activity, and documenting current revenue accounting processes. This position provides significant growth opportunities through controllership duties and project-based initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own key components of the monthly and quarterly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance/flux analysis
• Partner with the financial analytics data team, FP&A, Technical Accounting, and other internal business partners to determine accounting requirements for new platform related projects and to reconcile platform activity
• Own the documentation of current revenue accounting processes and lead the implementation of new products and processes such as quote-to-cash cycle special projects
• Help scale and improve revenue systems, processes, and controls as the business grows to reduce Accounting Close duration
• Assist in managing external audit, including preparation and ongoing support

Requirements

• 3+ years in Accounting, preferably Revenue Accounting at a high-growth technology company
• Proven technical knowledge of ASC 606 with a focus on advertising revenue
• Significant experience in Microsoft and Google applications
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong accounting research and problem-solving skills
• Highly detail-oriented and able to multitask

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting/Finance
• 3+ years in Accounting, preferably in Revenue Accounting at a high-growth technology company

Nice to Have

• Experience auditing or reviewing high-volume ad contracts and performance obligations
• Experience with Oracle
