Senior Project Manager - Federal

About This Role

This Senior Project Manager role is responsible for overseeing federal construction projects from preconstruction through owner sign-off, ensuring budget adherence, schedule execution, and leading the project team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety Culture for project
• Control costs and maintain profitability for project(s)
• Manage field construction activity, engineering, and other field project support activities
• Supervise the development of project schedules and monitor production for timely completion
• Review cost reports and make analysis to assist in reducing costs and maintaining productivity
• Establish project labor requirements and review with divisional management
• Conduct regular project inspections and advise project supervision of work progress, quality, and safety conditions
• Coordinate work with subcontractors to ensure all subcontract work is within project scope and specifications
• Administer project policies and procedures
• Coordinate with architects, inspectors, and clients/owner representatives to isolate project issues and develop solutions

Requirements

• 10 years previous construction management experience
• Medium to large federal project experience ($100M+)
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project
• Experience with large / complex safety plan implementation
• Proven track record of organizing project teams to accomplish project goals
• Effective negotiation and contract management skills
• Experience in managing a project using established methods of cost reporting
• Extensive knowledge of all facets of construction
• Understand contract types and terms (General Conditions, Burn Rates, Fee Analysis)
• Understand various insurance programs (SDI, BR policies, OCIP, CCIP)

Qualifications

• Undergraduate University degree (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field) is desirable, or equivalent education, training or work experience
• 10 years previous construction management experience required
