Senior Project Manager - Commercial Construction

About This Role

Lead and manage commercial construction projects from initial budgeting through closeout, ensuring project safety, quality, and financial success. This role involves strategic planning, client satisfaction, and mentoring junior project management staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs
• Estimate, value engineer, and support development of project budgets
• Facilitate the subcontractor bid process including processing, distribution, and tracking of all project bidding documentation
• Utilize software programs and templates to process, distribute, and track all project documentation
• Negotiate subcontractor and material buyout, then develop and negotiate subcontracts
• Plan and schedule projects
• Manage jobs in progress including subcontractor coordination, conflict resolution, documentation, and ensuring quality and safety
• Manage project costs through ongoing evaluation of labor, material, and equipment; continue to forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits through project completion
• Perform project closeout
• Manage projects up to $50 million in size
• Understand current trends and styles in workplace design and systems

Requirements

• B.S. in Construction, Engineering, or related degree
• 10-15 years project management experience
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead a collaborative team
• Detail oriented
• Capable of managing projects up to $50 million in size

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction, Engineering, or related degree
• 10-15 years project management experience
