As a Project Engineer II, you will support and manage the structural design process from concept through construction. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure all deliverables meet design intent and regulatory requirements, combining technical design expertise with client interaction and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed structural analysis and design using Revit, Rhino, RISA, ETABS, SAP, and RAM.
- Prepare structural plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with architects, clients, and municipal agencies to align structural solutions with project goals.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and BIM technicians on technical tasks and best practices.
- Participate in client calls and meetings, providing technical input, and contributing to project discussions.
- Support Project Managers with budgeting, scheduling, and project planning.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency across all deliverables.
Requirements
- BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in structural design and analysis of building structures
- Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, RISA, ETABS, SAP, and RAM
- Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods
- Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing software packages such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, Rhino, PCA, and SAFE
- Minimum 5 years of Experience with preparing structural models and extract data for wind tunnel testing, applying wind tunnel loads to the structural model, and understanding the supplemental damping strategies
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Structural/Civil Engineering or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in structural design and analysis of building structures, performing and supervising design and analysis of mid-to-high rise buildings, including project management
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer’s (PE) license
- Experience working in Grasshopper
