About This Role

This role involves supporting the financial management and administration of multiple government contracts, focusing on budget preparation, financial analysis, and ensuring accurate reporting of project-related financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Review monthly financials for accuracy and complete variance analysis on direct and indirect revenue, costs, and profit
  • Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the project structure, cost accruals, billings, and financial reporting
  • Responsible for project setups and able to understand requirements of a government contract
  • Provide assistance on pricing existing and new opportunities
  • Ensure invoices are billed in accordance with contract requirements and reconciles billings for each CLIN as required
  • Analyze actual costs and understand if improper cost allocations have occurred on assigned projects; assist in correcting as needed
  • Maintain project tracking spreadsheets to record actuals and forecast
  • Analyze, understand, and report on assigned unbilled balances when needed
  • Prepare monthly project accruals, acting as liaison between accounting personnel and Project Managers to ensure all monthly expenses are accounted for
  • Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all assigned projects related financial information
  • Review, code, and submit supplier invoices and voucher corrections to Accounts Payable, as needed
  • Assist Project Managers in preparation of CDRLs
  • Prepare quarterly Contract Access Fee and/or Industrial Funding Fee reporting
  • Prepare price adjustments for newly incorporated wage determinations
  • Review of contract funding levels for contract-required limitation of funds notifications

Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • BS/BA degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Five years of project control experience
  • Deltek CostPoint Project Control Experience
  • Strong personal computer skills, including detailed working knowledge of Excel capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requirements
  • Ability to take ownership of issues and pursue potential resolutions through to completion
  • Security Clearance

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Five years of project control experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with FAR
  • Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Understanding of revenue recognition concepts
