Support faculty and research staff by creating analytic data files, performing statistical analyses, and managing data for research projects within the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics.
Responsibilities
- Support faculty and other research staff with the creation of analytic data files and the conduct of statistical analyses
- Load, validate, document, manage, and analyze data for both internal and collaborative research projects
- Assist with data storage and management issues around both new and ongoing projects within the Division
- Work with other research staff within the Division to help specify appropriate analytical data files for the research question under investigation
- Create and carefully document all derived analytical data files so that they can be understood and used by other members of the research team
- Participate in monthly programmer team meetings
- Mentor junior programmers/analysts
Requirements
- 5-7 years experience in data analysis
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, data visualization, and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate complex workflows and data to a variety of audiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Analysis or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study
- 5-7 years experience in data analysis
Nice to Have
- Project management skills and/or experience
- Knowledge and application of statistical analyses including variance analysis and statistical significant
- Healthcare knowledge, particularly as it pertains to electronic medical record data
