Senior Product Designer

About This Role

Lead design for complex features and product areas within Slack, contributing to product and design strategy. This hands-on role involves partnering with Product and Engineering to shape direction and priorities, ultimately delivering clear, scalable, and polished user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for complex features or product areas from concept to launch
• Turn ambiguous problems into clear, simple solutions
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape direction and priorities
• Create flows, prototypes, and high-quality visuals using Slack’s design system
• Drive user-centered thinking and incorporate research into your work
• Provide thoughtful feedback to peers and help raise the bar for craft
• Contribute to product and design strategy for your area
• Identify opportunities to improve usability, quality, and consistency
• Influence cross-functional decisions beyond your immediate projects
• Help improve how design operates within your team

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product design for desktop or mobile
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design thinking and execution
• Experience leading design for complex features or product areas
• Ability to work independently and drive clarity in ambiguous situations
• Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills
• Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers
• Understanding of design systems and scalable product patterns
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence decisions
• Experience leveraging AI in your design process to explore ideas, accelerate iteration, and improve outcomes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design for desktop or mobile

Nice to Have

• Experience designing productivity, collaboration, or enterprise tools
• Familiarity with design systems at scale
• Interest in how AI can improve everyday work
