Craft thoughtful and scalable web experiences as a Senior Product Designer for Uber's Rider Design team, influencing product strategy and helping users go anywhere and get anything. This role involves defining end-to-end web experiences and integrations, working across interaction, systems, and service design.
Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative, elegant, buildable, and scalable designs that are thoroughly documented
- Understand business, data, and engineering requirements to create experiences that deliver customer value
- Work on projects of various sizes, from well-known problems to complex and conceptual ones, leading a roadmap in your product area
- Build a deep understanding of users through data and research, leading the end-to-end design process
- Solicit and incorporate feedback from experts and translate designs for engineers
- Prioritize and manage time efficiently, operate with high autonomy, and adapt to challenges
- Communicate with clarity and persuasiveness, effectively presenting work and rationale to stakeholders
- Facilitate design sessions and collaborate with other designers to maintain honest and trusting relationships
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience
- Experience building products for desktop and mobile web
- Proficiency with Figma or similar tools and prototyping methods
- A portfolio showing high-quality, thoughtful UI and UX work
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product design experience
Nice to Have
- A degree in HCI, Graphic Design, or related field
- Highly proficient in storytelling and prototyping
- Ability to strongly articulate design work and rationale to peers and cross-functional team
- Familiarity with designing across physical, digital, and spatial touchpoints, including geospatial computing and location-aware experiences
- Experience working with user researchers and data scientists
- Experience designing with large-scale design systems and frameworks
