Senior Product Architect

About This Role

As a Senior Product Architect, you will drive the modern product technology strategy and implementation for Deloitte's Product Engineering team, focusing on high-visibility projects and delivering value to business investments. You will leverage extensive engineering craftsmanship to design, develop, and deploy advanced software solutions while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Craft and articulate a vision for modern product architecture in alignment with business and Deloitte Technology strategies
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including product, engineering, experience, delivery, security, and infrastructure teams
• Advocate for, develop, and communicate engineering group's integrated architecture/technology strategy and implementation
• Define, measure, and drive achievement of KPIs and NFRs related to product architecture and engineering
• Establish and evolve product architecture and engineering domain reference architecture, standards, and best practices
• Actively engage hands-on with design, architecture, and code, contributing to team velocity and reviewing code
• Mentor and develop engineers in modern architecture and engineering practices like microservices, cloud-native design, and DevSecOps
• Embrace an iterative and incremental approach to product architecture and engineering, ensuring alignment with customer and business goals
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for innovation within the product development lifecycle and continuously enhance the operating model
• Establish and evolve reference architectures, coding standards, and best architecture/engineering practices, including risk management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline
• 15+ years proven experience with programming languages like Angular, React, NodeJS, Python, Streamlit, C#, .NET Core, Golang, SQL/NoSQL, unit testing frameworks
• 8+ years' experience in architecting enterprise solutions on modern technology stacks
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native engineering, using FaaS/PaaS/micro-services on cloud hyper-scalers like Azure, AWS, and GCP
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud-native services (API Management, Event Hub, Service Bus, Functions, Service Mash, Logic Apps, AKS, Batch, Istio, Archive Storage, Data Lakes, Synapse, SQL, Redis, CosmosDB, DocumentDB, PowerBI, Key Vault, Application Insights)

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline
• 15+ years proven experience with programming languages; 8+ years architecting enterprise solutions; 8+ years hands-on cloud-native engineering; 5+ years with Azure cloud-native services

Nice to Have

• Advanced degree (e.g., MS)
• 3+ years of experience with AI/ML and GenAI
• Prior experience with real estate, meeting and events, hospitality platforms and applications
• Prior experience with software engineering and product architecture/design foundation (BCD, sequence/activity/state/ER/DFD diagrams, OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, code instrumentations)
• Prior experience with methodologies & tools like XP, Lean, SAFe, DevSecOps, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube
