This role is responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing group assignments from the Sales Department, focusing on monitoring contractual agreements related to guest room blocks, meeting space, food and beverage, and special concessions. The Senior Manager will support company goals by maintaining strong client relations and ensuring successful meeting experiences.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, and execute group assignments from the Sales Department
- Monitor all contractual agreements pertaining to guest room blocks, meeting space, food and beverage, and special concessions
- Maintain strong client relations and ensure successful meeting experiences for planners and attendees
- Monitor and manage room blocks and meeting space to maximize hotel revenue
- Review sales contracts and validate details with clients via turnover letter
- Monitor and enforce program deadline dates, adjusting meeting space as needed
- Produce and distribute Conference Resumes and BEOs to hotel departments
- Accurately forecast group rooms and food and beverage revenues within a 5% variance
- Participate in site visits and plan meetings for upcoming groups and potential business
Requirements
- High school Degree or equivalent education
- 1-2 years’ previous experience in Event Management or Conference Services
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage products, preparation, and presentation
- Extensive knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audio-visual
- Basic math skills and ability to handle billing accurately
- Ability to communicate clearly, speak, read, write, and understand English
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Qualifications
- High school Degree or equivalent education, Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-2 years’ previous experience in Event Management or Conference Services
