Senior Medical Records Collector

About This Role

Provide senior level support for medical records collection activities, focusing on quality improvement and HEDIS data. This role contributes to improving member care quality and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to providers via various methods for medical record collection
• Load medical records and reports into the HEDIS application
• Provide subject matter expertise in project management and coordination of medical record collection
• Support annual HEDIS and other audits, organizing provider outreach and record uploads
• Assist medical records leadership with physician and member interventions through record review
• Provide mentorship and leadership to team members for process and project improvement
• Participate in and prepare feedback for meetings with vendors related to medical record collection

Requirements

• 2+ years of health care experience, including medical records support in a managed care setting
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance
• Knowledge of Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS)
• Knowledge of National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel)
• Ability to manage files, schedules, and information efficiently
• Ability to effectively interface with staff, clinicians, and leadership
• Strong prioritization skills and detail orientation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
• Microsoft Office suite proficiency

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of health care experience, including medical records support in a managed care setting, or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
