About This Role

The Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform patient care duties. This role serves as an informal leader, mentor, and resource to other Medical Assistants, contributing to quality and providing guidance and training.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of MA I and MA II roles under the delegation of a licensed practitioner
  • Assist in providing patient care to assigned patients
  • Proactively take initiative and serve as an informal leader within the clinic/location
  • Serve as an ambassador, change agent, and quality champion
  • Mentor and provide support, guidance, and training to other Medical Assistants
  • Provide a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Handle confidential patient data with discretion

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, OR registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, OR two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • 2 years of Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting
  • 2 years of experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion
  • 6 months of working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
  • 2 years of Medical Assisting experience in a clinic setting. 2 years of experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion. 6 months of working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years.
