About This Role

Manage and develop revenue policy functions and special projects, including regulatory filings and strategic review of cost regulatory mechanisms for ComEd. This role involves developing and implementing strategic regulatory options beyond traditional revenue models and acting as an expert witness in regulatory proceedings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Revenue Policy functions and special projects, including regulatory filings and strategic review of alternative cost regulatory mechanisms.
  • Assist in planning, development, recommendation, and support of strategic policies and positions for ComEd's DST or transmission rate revenue requests.
  • Develop and implement strategic regulatory options beyond the traditional revenue requirements model, defining creative regulatory infrastructures.
  • Apply critical analytical skills and in-depth working knowledge of legal, regulatory, financial, and accounting concepts unique to the utility industry.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory filing requirements for DST or transmission rate case proceedings, including preparing and presenting testimony.
  • Act as liaison, providing critical information to Exelon's financial and accounting business units regarding impacts of revenue requirement positions.
  • Manage certain regulatory filings and/or audits and specific segments of larger regulatory proceedings.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and support the Company's regulated DST or transmission revenue requests in litigated proceedings and settlement efforts.
  • Act as an expert witness on DST or transmission revenue and cost recovery matters before state and/or federal governmental agencies.
  • Ensure Company's compliance with regulatory filing requirements of revenue and cost data for rate matters.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in quantitative field (Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or Accounting)
  • 10+ years of regulatory utility experience (rates, accounting, financial, strategic planning)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly effective personal skills to interface with business units, external counsel, and commission staff
  • Excellent financial, analytical and technical skills
  • Broad understanding of Exelon/energy delivery strategy and business practices
  • Demonstrated high-level competencies in accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance in ambiguous situations

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in quantitative field, such as Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or Accounting
  • Ten or more years of regulatory utility experience, primarily in rates, accounting, financial and strategic planning areas

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or Law
  • Experience managing complex regulatory filings and initiatives, including directing cross-functional teams
  • Experience leading external engagement efforts
