Senior Maintenance Technician

About This Role

The Senior Maintenance Technician will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on various equipment and building systems within an establishment. This role involves utilizing skills across multiple craft occupations to ensure smooth operation of machinery and efficient building system function.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and building systems, following checklists
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, and replace filters
• Utilize various hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical, electronic, pipe, plumbing, and machinery components
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions
• Record the type and cost of maintenance or repair work
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using appropriate tools

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years in Preventive Maintenance
• 2+ years in a GMP setting
• Experience maintaining clean rooms and auxiliary equipment (boilers, HVAC)
• Experience with digital tools (Vaisala, CMMS, Building Management systems, Maximo)
• Familiarity with P&ID Schematics/Plans
• Experience with principles of preventive maintenance, repair and maintenance, and instrumentation repair
• Maximo, P&ID Drawing, Electrical schematics & Mechanical drawing experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Prior work with a digital Multimeter (CMMS/DMM)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5-7 years of experience required, with 5+ years in Preventive Maintenance and 2+ years in a GMP setting.

Nice to Have

• Experience with boilers, HVAC, water systems, air compressors, and electric schematics
• Prior experience in Food & beverage, Pharmaceuticals, or Medical Devices
