Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About This Role

Lead and expand a geotechnical engineering department, managing project delivery, financial performance, and business development. This leadership role also includes mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams and contributing to strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Geotechnical Engineering Department
• Oversee project execution, quality control, and technical excellence
• Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and P&L
• Mentor and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Strengthen existing client relationships and support new business development
• Contribute to strategic planning and company growth initiatives
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in civil or geotechnical engineering
• Demonstrated success in department or team leadership
• Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and standards
• Proven experience with budget management and financial oversight
• Track record in client relationship management and business development
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• 10+ years of experience in civil or geotechnical engineering

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focus)
