The CNC Programmer will support precision prismatic machining operations within the Military Aircraft Group, combining hands-on programming with process development and shop-floor troubleshooting. This role focuses on optimizing machining strategies for complex milled parts in an advanced aerospace component production environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC milling processes
- Create detailed NC programs and operation sheets
- Define tooling, gauging, and machine requirements
- Troubleshoot shop-floor machining issues
- Review engineering drawings for manufacturability
- Assist with prove-outs and program validation
- Estimate machining time and tooling costs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- 6+ years CNC programming experience
- Multi-axis milling expertise
- Hands-on machine setup experience
- Strong manufacturing troubleshooting skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
