Senior Engineer Specialist - Network Operations

About This Role

This role involves resolving complex network and provisioning tickets for Verizon's Consumer Wholesale organization, primarily supporting strategic reseller relationships. The specialist will act as a Subject Matter Expert for the network, providing escalations and technical support, playing a crucial role in enabling revenue and subscriber growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 Network troubleshooting and resolution to VZ Wholesale wireless MVNOs
• Strategically partner with internal cross-functional teams, such as NRB, NMC, and IT teams, to resolve tickets
• Manage the ticketing queue to ensure tickets are resolved within established timelines and expectations
• Support Wholesale Product and development teams and serve as a technical SME on designated projects
• Participate in a scheduled rotation for after-hours crisis management support

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience
• Three or more years of relevant experience
• Three or more years of experience in network operations and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of wireless networking technologies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience
• Three or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience, with three or more years in network operations and troubleshooting

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience with Local Portability processes
• Experience with MARS, MTAS, NSP Lite/Delphi, RTT, WFM, WNP, IOP, ECHO, Airwave, DMD, Syniverse, NeuSta, RSSx, Enforce+r
